The short answer. Bring your questions, a list of your medications, supplements and allergies, and allow plenty of time. A first consultation is for information, not for making a decision.
Write down what you want to talk about
Think about what is on your mind and why. Notes on your phone are perfect. There are no silly questions.
Gather your health information
- Any medications and supplements you take.
- Any allergies.
- Past procedures or treatments you have had.
- Any health conditions, and the name of your regular doctor.
Your practitioner needs this to give you safe advice. It stays private.
Plan your day
- Allow plenty of time so you are not rushed.
- Avoid scheduling a big event straight afterwards. If you are thinking about timing, ask at your consultation.
- If you are travelling to Miami from elsewhere on the Gold Coast, allow time to park and find the shop.
Arrive ready to listen, not to decide
A first consultation is about information. You can take home what you hear, think about it and decide later. For ideas on what to ask, see questions to ask before a cosmetic consultation, and to see how the visit runs, read what happens at a cosmetic treatment consultation.
