The short answer. A consultation covers your goals, your health history, an assessment of your face, your options, the risks and costs, and time to decide. No treatment goes ahead without one.
It starts with a conversation
Every treatment at Rachel's Cosmetics begins with a face-to-face consultation. You are not expected to know exactly what you want. Many people come simply to talk.
The steps
- Your goals. Rachel asks what you would like to change, or keep, and why.
- Your health. She takes your health history, medications and allergies. This is essential for safety.
- Assessment. She looks at your face as a whole. Wrinkles, lips and cheeks are all part of a bigger picture of balance and proportion.
- Your options. You hear what may suit you, including the option of not treating at all.
- Risks and costs. Both are explained clearly, so you can weigh them up. Read more about risks and aftercare and cost.
- Your decision. You can take time to think. There is no pressure to proceed on the day.
Wrinkle reduction
If wrinkles are what you would like to talk about, the conversation is about what concerns you, your skin and whether any treatment is suitable. Rachel will tell you honestly if it is not. See the wrinkle reduction treatment page.
Lip volume
For lips, the conversation is about shape, balance and proportion that suits your features. See more on the lip volume page.
Cheek volume
For cheeks, the conversation is about support and balance in the mid-face, planned around your own structure. See the cheek volume page.
